Chris Rogerson, Amarillo Symphony's Composer in Residence, has been praised for his music's "virtuosic exuberance" and "haunting beauty" - The New York Times.

He has composed this commissioned piece to celebrate the tough, independent yet progressive spirit that has enabled the Amarillo Symphony to reach this 90th pinnacle. Rogerson's music has been performed in venues including Carnegie Hall, the Library of Congress and The Kennedy Center.

Garrick Ohlsson enjoys a distinguished global career, gaining worldwide recognition as one of the finest pianists of his generation. He has appeared with major symphony orchestras in Europe, USA, Japan and New Zealand. This talented, American artist was accepted into The Julliard School at the age of 13. Ohlsson gained international recognition when he became the first American pianist to win the prestigious Chopin Competition in Warsaw in 1970.

A prolific recording artist, Garrich Ohlsson won a Grammy Award in February 2008 for Best Instrumental Soloist Performance (without Orchestra) for his L.vBeethoven Sonatas, Vol.3 (Bridge Record, Inc.).
